These articles can be accepted year-round, and included in our newsletter as appropriate. Volunteer writers are also encouraged to develop their own interest topics for articles.

  • "Take a Closer Look" feature articles. For seasonal, small or overlooked plants and animals, approximately 250 words. (Previously written examples: wheel bug, chocolate tube slime, crowned slug...)
  • "Green with Goodwill" feature articles. For global issues with local solutions, approximately 500 words. (Previously written example: shade grown coffee)

Interested writers can set up a meeting with Sanctuary staff to discuss the scope of articles. Call 410-741-9330 and ask for Lindsay Hollister or Chris Swarth.
