Come observe the many species of butterflies visiting the Butterfly Garden at the Glendening Nature Preserve. The garden is open on Tuesdays and weekends.
A variety of host and nectar plants were planted by volunteer Dave Perry to attract these beautiful winged wonders. The garden is located behind Plummer House, in the field between the two barns.
Cynthia Bravo has created a binder filled with photos and natural history information about the Sanctuary's butterflies. Check out her binder the next time you visit Plummer House and the garden. Thanks to the Friends of Jug Bay for providing the funds to purchase the garden plants and mulch.
