Lindsay Hollister is a staff naturalist and the volunteer coordinator. She has a background in amphibian studies and marine science. A student of life, she is devoted to expanding her understanding of our natural systems and enjoys sharing her love of watery habitats with others. She receivered her BS in Marine Science from Millersville Univeristy in 2001.
Chris Swarth is the sanctuary director. He received his BS in zoology from Humbolt State University, and MS in biology from California State University, Hayward. He is past president of the Atlantic Estuarine Research Society. Chris enjoys studying and teaching about wetlands ecology and the natural history of wetland plants and animals. One of his current investigations focuses on eastern box turtles population ecology and habitat use.
John Evans is the maintenance supervisor. He enjoys working outdoors, building and maintaining our boardwalks, piers, and trails.
Elaine Friebele is a staff naturalist who leads classrooms in the field, public programs, and summer camps. She also works with volunteers on Wild Rice and Red-bellied Turtle research. She received her B.S. Biology in Chemistry from Salem College and her M.A. Aquatic Ecology from Johns Hopkins University.
Jean Manganello is the office manager. Along with keeping the office running smoothly she also enjoys working with the staff and volunteers on some of their projects.
