ug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary
This picture is of a Low Marsh at low tide, taken from the Sanctuary's Marsh Boardwalk. Swamps, marshes, bogs, fens, vernal pools, mires and peatlands are all different types of wetlands. They all have three similarities: Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary has about 300 acres of wetlands, most of which are freshwater tidal wetlands. This tour visits three of the different wetland habitats.
