Chesapeake Conservation Corps Member
Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary is seeking a Chesapeake Conservation Corps Member for next year! The position is a year-long term that starts on August 22, 2017. Jug Bay is one of many prospective host sites in the CCC program. For more information and applications, please visit the Chesapeake Bay Trust website. Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary offers hands-on opportunities to Corps Members to join our enthusiastic staff and wonderful team of volunteers in planning, coordinating, and implementing projects to further our education, citizen science, and stewardship goals. Be part of creating rain and sensory gardens, furthering our community garden program, developing and/or testing protocols and implementing best management practices to monitor and control invasive species and the health of our forests, developing interactive conservation programming for middle-high school students of underserved communities, and mentoring high school students in “open science inquiry”. Join us to serve our community, educate, and protect our environment!
